Spring Break

I've had this whole week off of work and it has been wonderful. I have gotten to do lots of fun things with my kids. It makes me not ever want to work again. We went to the zoo, it seriously was the best day ever. The weather was PERFECT! Not too hot, not too cold. I've never seen the animals so active. I took several pictures of my kids infront of this peacock. I couldn't get them or the peacock to face me at the same time. So you get several pictures.... :)

This is the polar bear exhibit. It's new and it is so awesome. The polar bear was so active. he kept swimming in the water. He would dive down and come back up. Noah was standing in the perfect spot. The polar bear dived down and came up staring Noah right in the face. They were about and inch apart. Thank goodness for the glass.  I wish I would have gotten a picture of it.

Easter

Easter was an eventful day. We woke up to the Easter bunny pooping jelly beans in our toilet.

My kids were so excited to find their Easter baskets and all the candy the Easter bunny left for them.

 Don't mind the Alaska shirt and Cookie Monster pants. Some of the things my kids wear to bed? hmmm....

 Sunday best. I love dressing up on Easter Sunday. So grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and the fact that he died on the cross for us. So that we may be able to return to him again one day.

 I'm so happy to have these two kids. They make my world complete. I don't know how I ever lived without them before. They make me so HAPPY!

Life

Do you ever feel like it takes a tragedy to put us back in our place? Recently my Young Women's President who I was extremely close to, her daughter who was 17 passed away. In times like these it always makes me reflect on the small things in life. Am I doing  any good in my life? What am I here to do? Am I doing enough? Sometimes I feel like life just gets monotonous. I start to focus on the messy house, what are we having for dinner? Do I have my lesson plans ready for work? But then I realize what is MOST important. My family, am I meeting their needs? It's sad that it takes something like this to get us to reflect on what our priorities are. I also look at my own family. I can't believe how fast my kids are growing up. It seems just like yesterday I brought them home from the hospital. I don't want these days to end. I love that they still want to hold my hand in public. That I'm their biggest hero, and that they tell me everyday how much they love me. This too will come to an end. I just need to live in the moment and live life to the fullest. Hug your little ones enjoy these moments because life is short and we never know when it may be our last.

Snow, Snow, Go Away Come Again Another Day

We have been hit hard this year by SNOW!!! For a while I never thought it was going to end. It's now starting to get a little warmer. We will take the warmer weather over the bitter cold any day. I don't like the cold weather and this year has been one of the worst. This year we actually had freezing rain. Utah never gets freezing rain but this year we did because we now have this lovely thing called the inversion that comes and visits us every week in the winter. It's awful our air quality was the worst all winter long. Luckily Mr. Sun has made an appearance and the snow is finally melting. My kids are sad to see it go but I'm ready to say good riddance.

 We had to make a snowman. Karly adored her snowman she kept giving him hugs. We couldn't find the carrot nose. So Noah found one of his toys and used it as a carrot nose because it was orange. Hee hee!

 Noah decided the snowman needed arms. First he tried small sticks, didn't look too good.

I can't believe Noah's 6~!

This year we just did two parties at each grandma's house instead of one big one. It was nice for me because it took the stress off of me trying to come up with an annual birthday theme. We just had cake and ice cream at each grandma's and I think Noah was just as happy as his last birthdays. Sometimes I think I stress myself out too much over the little things. This year it was smooth and I think he enjoyed his presents even more because he got to play with them all a little at a time. Instead of all at once.

It's hard being 6!

Noah just turned 6 on February 26th. He is such a boy and so much fun. We recently put him in Archery and he loves it.

Christmas

Christmas was so much fun! My kids are the perfect age. They're such believers. We had an elf this year that came to visit us, named Elphabub and every night he would report back to Santa my kids behavior. My kids were so mesmerized by him and couldn't wait to see where he has hiding the next morning after reporting to Santa in the North Pole. On Christmas Eve we went to Jared's parents house for their annual Christmas Eve party. Santa came at the end and gave each of the kids a present. What they had been waiting for all year a dream light.

 Noah was under the weather and so we made him wear a mask so he wouldn't cough all over everyone. It worked wonders. No one else got sick.

 My husband always sneaks a present in Santa's bag for me. So every year I get called to come and sit on Santa's lap. One year it was socks.  I must have been good this year, because it was a diamond ring.
