Lazy Summer Days

My kids can't get enough of riding their bikes. We haven't had one day of summer without riding our bikes. I LOVE the summer. It's so fun to be able to go outside. I found my kids helmets at Target. They have some funny helmets. Karly's is a bunny and Noah's is a gorilla with spikes for hair. It makes it so my kids want to wear their helmets.  I can't go into Target without purchasing a million things. ( Don't tell Jared)

Warfield Fossil Quarry



Over the weekend we thought it would be fun to drive up to WY and dig for fossils. My kids loved it. You had to chisel the rock and break it open. Inside you might find a fossil. We found quite a few fossils. I think the fossil I found was the best one. It was the biggest fish out of all the fossils we found. But really it all comes down to luck.

Karly thought it was fun to just bang the rocks with her hammer instead of finding fossils. Who knows how many fossils were lost. ....

Happy Birthday Baby Girl

Today my little one turned 3. I can't believe how fast three years have flown by. It seems just like yesterday that she came home from the hospital. She is the sweetest little girl. Very stubborn at times. She definitely went through her terrible two's. I'm not looking forward to the terrible three's with this one. She is very competitive and thinks she is always right. She knows all of her ABC's and sounds she can count to 14 and recognize her numbers to 10. She blows me away with some of the things she can do. She didn't have any trouble riding a bike. She just got on and did it. The other day she told me my name is Karly K-A-R.... Mom what comes next?? Where does she learn this stuff???

She got this bike for her birthday from Grandma Ellen. Aunt Shelly bought her the cute basket, streamers, and a bell that match her bike PERFECTLY!!

Growing Up Too FAST!

Today we had to say goodbye to this crib!! I'm so sad to say goodbye but it's time for Karly to sleep in a big girl bed. It has been really hard for me to get her a new bed. It means the end to having a baby in our house. It also means the end to sleep for a while. She already is having a hard time staying put in her new bed. In her crib she never figured out how to get out of it. So when I wanted her to go to bed I could just put her in it and she would have to go to bed. Now who knows if and when she will actually fall asleep.
