Polar Express

My mom and I took the kids on the POLAR EXPRESS and can I just tell you they're were the most excited and best kids EVER!!. We met the elf and we got to real hot chocolate and Mrs. Claus chocolate chip cookies. We rode to the North Pole and Santa got on the train with us. He kind of had a weird beard but my kids didn't seem to notice. Noah got the first bell and you would have thought he won the lottery. He just kept walking around telling everyone that he got the first gift of Christmas from Santa. I was so glad we took them this year because they are such believers and it was so fun to see their excitement when we arrived at the North Pole.

We also did so much service this Christmas with this little countdown. It really put us all in the true Christmas spirit. Each day was a day of Service and my kids LOVED it. Some of my favorites were buying dinner for the person behind us. Handing out candy canes. leaving presents for the mailman. Buying the cashier her favorite candy bar. I think Noah enjoyed this activity more than anyone.

French Toast with Santa

Yesterday was Jared's birthday. We went to Kneaders for his birthday dinner. I couldn't think of a better place to eat for Jared than Kneaders because it was their delicious french toast night with Santa. His favorite food is breakfast food. My kids loved it. Santa was so nice. The only bad thing is now my kids lists have gotten longer. Every time we visit Santa my kids think of more things they need. :)

My little guy is losing teeth like crazy!

I came home from work the other day to find Noah with his tooth hanging by a thread. We tried all night to get him to pull it out. Finally he let me pull it out. It came out so quick. His top tooth and two of his bottom teeth are also loose. But we're trying not to make them too loose. Otherwise he will not have any teeth in the front.

I found this cute tooth fairy pillow so he can keep his tooth in it for safe keeping.

Scheels

Have you been to Scheels? It is the coolest place. It is a huge sporting goods store. It has anything/everything you can imagine in sporting goods. It even has fudge. We spent about 3 hours there just looking around. Karly's favorite thing was the full size Ferris wheel in the middle of the store. I personally loved the fish tank. You could walk under it and it has so many cool fish inside it. We were there at the right time. They have a thing called the kids club and they showed us how they take care of the tank. They gave my kids Swedish fish and another ride on the Ferris wheel (which Karly LOVED). One interesting fish fact I learned. The guy in charge of the fish tank gave us lots of information. He said the clown fish aren't a sex when they are born. Whichever clown fish is the most dominate in the tank turns into a girl. The second most dominate clown fish in the tank turns into a male and all the other fish stay neutral. However if the female fish dies. The male fish turns himself into a female and another one of the neutral fish becomes a male. Crazy I had no idea clown fish were so interesting.

They also had lots of photo opportunities.

The best bowling for my little kids. They loved it!

Go visit! It's a pretty fun place.

October: I Love This Time of Year!

We have had a pretty great October so far. I try to take my kids and do as many activities before the cold weather hits. So far we have went to Gardner's Village to eat Breakfast with a Witch. We went to the American Heritage Center and played in the corn maze and went down the huge slide. We went to the Ogden Nature Center for their Creatures of the Night . We didn't see Jenny Frame and we were very sad that we didn't. We have also went to the Logan Pumpkin Walk. We have several more activities planned for the next two weeks before Halloween.
I taught my kids how to make bead spiders. Noah made his all by himself except the body. I have never seen a five year old concentrate on something for as long as he did. He was determined to finish it. Karly however wasn't too excited about finishing. So I had to finish hers :).

My mom had her annual Halloween party. It's always fun to see all of the cousins costumes and my kids love getting together with them and playing.

Noah decided he wanted to be Frankenstein this year and Karly wanted to be a scary witch with a green face.

We went up to the Logan Pumpkin Walk. Boy did we pick a BAD day to go. About half way through, it started to downpour. So we walked back to the car and waited it out. It started to clear so we decided to try walking around again. About  halfway around it started to downpour again and the backdrops were flying in the sky. We headed for the car really fast and decided that we shouldn't try it for a third time.

This was the first scene Karly ran to. She wanted to be Cinderella so bad. I think she makes a pretty darn cute one.

Don't look too closely at this picture. That Buzz Light year sure is creepy!

I thought this giraffe was so cute made out of pumpkins.

Karly had to get a picture with Minnie and Mickey. She wants to go back to Disney Land so bad.
